This Selling Policy applies to customers who choose to sell their laptop directly to Laptop Giant for monetary payment. By submitting a selling request, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Eligibility Requirements
UK residents only.
Minimum age: 18 years.
You must be the lawful owner of the device.
The device must not be stolen, blacklisted, or under finance agreement.
We reserve the right to request identification before payment.
3. Provisional Offer
Offers provided after reviewing submitted information and images are provisional.
Final payment amount will be determined after:
Physical inspection
Hardware diagnostics
Serial number verification
Confirmation of declared condition
Laptop Giant reserves the right to adjust the offer if discrepancies are identified.
4. Device Condition Verification
Devices must:
Match the declared model and specifications
Not be activation locked or BIOS locked
Not contain undisclosed major faults
Not have severe internal damage unless declared
Undisclosed faults may result in a revised offer.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is processed only after:
Successful inspection
Confirmation of final offer
Customer acceptance of final valuation
Payment methods:
UK Bank Transfer (Faster Payments)
PayPal (if selected)
Payments are typically processed within 1–2 working days after acceptance.
Laptop Giant is not responsible for incorrect bank details submitted by the customer.
6. Data and Privacy
Customers must:
Remove all personal accounts
Back up data before sending device
Perform factory reset where possible
All devices undergo secure data wiping in compliance with UK GDPR standards.
7. Shipping and Risk
If a prepaid label is provided:
Device must be securely packaged.
Risk transfers to Laptop Giant once the device is received.
We are not liable for damage caused during transit due to insufficient packaging.
8. Revised Offers
If inspection reveals differences:
A revised offer will be issued.
Customer may accept or request return.
Return shipping costs may apply if condition differs significantly from description.
If no response is received within 7 days, the device may be returned.
9. Fraud and Stolen Goods
Laptop Giant reserves the right to:
Retain devices suspected of being stolen.
Report stolen devices to UK authorities.
Refuse payment for devices that fail ownership verification.
10. Limitation of Liability
Laptop Giant shall not be liable for:
Data loss
Loss of earnings
Indirect or consequential damages
Courier delays
